Journal History

The idea of establishing a specialized and unique journal in the intersecting areas between law and technology began with the inauguration of the Law and Emerging Technologies Research Centre at the Faculty of Law at the British University in 2016, in order to achieve its scientific goals for which it was established.

In 2020, the College of Law Council approved the statute of the Journal of Law and Emerging Technology, and gave the starting signal for its launch, The publication of the journal was approved and its regulations approved by the Research and Graduate Studies Committee, in February 2021, and the British University Board  Decision No. 5 of 2021 was issued in March 2021 approving the issuance of the journal and the approval of its own bylaw. 

The journal is located in the Law and Technology Research Centre at the Faculty of Law of the British University, and the journal is published in hard copy and electronic form on its website.
